In all honesty, too many fair weather toys. I already have two bikes and I much prefer to ride the Vrod than the XS650. Its is more comfortable and much faster.

Thank you! The rig in the background is a 1967 Toyota Land Cruiser (with a FI Corvette motor). My wife wanted that plate on it, and it gets a fair amount of laughs wherever it goes...but it is getting old though.

Ok...so I was able to source a Mikuni throttle cable from 650 Central...Mike "thinks" it should work on these carbs. Now, the only question remains is: --> Where can I get a stiffer slide (return) spring? I sent Keihin an email, but haven't heard back yet.

That's exactly the thread I was seeking! You the man! I really like his chain guard design...not to mention a hell of a bike build. Even though a few of the welds look so so, I dig the frame tubing work.

Thank you! Is there any reason I couldn't just run a tensioner, or a skateboard wheel, on top of the swingarm? It seems like that would negate the need to run a chain guard.

I don't know why I didn't even think about the sprockets and a different size. Anyhow, I now have an 18T front and a 38T rear ordered (should come mid-week). A quick chain questioin: Can I use two master links in a chain? I already shortened the chain to size, and with bigger sprockets...
