    Carburetor confusion!

Alrighty, that sounds pretty simple, I'll definitely be careful with the float so not to stretch the prongs

    Carburetor confusion!

I took the carb apart myself to confirm and like I said before the jets, bowl and float were honestly spotless. That's what leads me to believe the float valve might be bad. I went ahead and got the kit anyway to go ahead and replace the bad things, anything I have left or still good I'll tuck...

    Carburetor confusion!

That retailer is looks decent and I'll probably use them in the future to get some things. I found an alternative that works better for me at the moment, like I said before I do appreciate what you've said because now I know what I can use to get this bike up an running quicker

    Carburetor confusion!

The guy I got the bike from cleaned the carb out along with a few other things. With that being said the inside of the carb is honestly the cleanest ones I've seen. There's no rust on the inside anywhere and the jets themselves are spotless, that's what led me to believe getting a new float...

    Carburetor confusion!

I looked through the link you posted and yes while that is the carb kit I need 100% for sure, I'm not going to pay shipping that's more than the actual product if there is another option that's viable and would ultimately do the same thing. I'm all for doing things the right way but I'm also not...

    Carburetor confusion!

Honestly I didn't know if if the xs400 would be the same or close to it. I've found an xs400 rebuild kit so if that will stop my fuel dumping problem I'm all for it

Yeahhh, that definitely looks like it, the kit I was looking at the needles all looked just a little different but that looks spot on, thank you!

    Carburetor confusion!

I believe the floats are okay, not seeming to have any holes so I'm thinking I need the plunger with the clip on top, I think I found it here but I wanna make sure https://www.cruzinimage.net/2021/09/18/yamaha-rd400-carb-repair-kits-carburetor-2-repair-kits/

    Carburetor confusion!

Well I went and took the carb apart last night and honestly she looked really clean, floats did not seem to have and holes and the jets looked really clean but when I ut it all back together it had the same problem as before with dumping fuel out of the intake of the carb, which if im not...

    Carburetor confusion!

Hey everyone, I am completely new to the yahama xs650 and I'm trying to get my carbs rebuilt but am having loads of trouble trying to find the right kit. Everything I'm seeing is for either an 81 and up or for an xs400. I have a 1980 yahama xs650 special, I believe that's how it's labeled. If...
