    I have a 1971 xs1 with points. It's missing stock regulator/rectifier. Do I find a stock old style original regulator/rectifier or go with newer style? I have the newer style in a parts stash. Does newer finned style reg/rect plug right in or are there modifications that one can advise on...

    How to replace fork seals on a 1971 XS650

    I would much appreciate any info on how to separate the fork tube from the fork slider. I don't see a circlip on top of seal and there is no bolt on bottom of slider. First time doing fork seals on this model of XS. I have no service manual yet. Could not find any online to download. Thank you
