Just bought an Atlas 12x24 lathe! :)

Ah yeah I have two motto's for a situation like this. The essential, "where there's a will there's a way" and my favorite, "cross that bridge when you get there" Sweet score Travis! Consider me jealous of your shop with your new(to you) tool purchase

Bob, Your metalworking equipment is awesome! Nice work on the English wheel, the "A" designed into the frame is a nice touch. And where'd you get the design for the planishing hammer? Looks neat

Found this AWESOME pic series of ship engine manufacturing from the 50's....

Amazing stuff! What I'd give to have one of the "small" lathes or mills..... Look at that massive bastard of lathe in the back of the first pic. I wonder how big the throw is...

    Carb care, post-Ultrasonic cleaning?

Hi all, So my '83 BS34s just got out of their bath in the ultrasonic cleaner. Looks like it worked pretty good, lots of crap came out of those passages that I didn't think was there. And I thought I got them pretty clean with the baking soda blasting. For the first dunk I tried almost boiling...

    Punkskalar or other machinst types...please...

^ I agree X100 Went I accidentally threw away the old one trying to find a new one or even just a used replacement was damn near impossible! Same thing for the dust collars/shields #24

    Brembo x XS650

Looks awesome. That is some brake sexyness right there... How thick did you end up making that spacer for the rotor? And would you be interested in machining another one? I want to use a set-up off a 91 FZR600 but I need someone to machine me up a 10 mm thick spacer. There isn't a shop anywhere...
