Could you throw up a picture of the side covers you have?

I don't know about taking all of it, but what shape is the tank in? What color is it?

My '81 has 4,600 on it. The buddy of mine that I bought my XS from bought an 82 Virago 500 after he sold the XS. It has 2,000 miles on it and he has had nothing but problems with it. He paid 2 grand for the thing! Looks like I got the better deal!

I've gotten 52 and then 54 on two consecutive tanks, the second being about 40 miles highway. I couldn't be happier. I am running the stock jets on an 81 650.

My main work place is our detached garage/shop (my mustang) During the school year it is behind my fraternity. (pre-tear down) I'm pretty thankful of my wrenching quarters.

The handlebars and the instruments were done prior to me getting it. I can find out where my buddy got the handlebars if you'd like!

Finally road ready! She has been my summer project so far and has been a blast to work on. This is my first motorcycle and I can't wait to get on the road. Bought her off of a fraternity brother of mine for $700. Quite a steal for only having 4000 miles. :D

If that A/F Ratio reading is correct, you are definitely lean. Through all of my experience with cars it should be in the 10-12 area. I assume it is close to the same for bikes.

My XS650 freshening is almost complete. The last thing I need to do is get the front brakes buttoned up. I have run into a snag that seems minor but could be major. There are 4 screw that hold on the cover for the master cylinder. I got 3 out, but they were very tight. One of them refused to...
