hey guys cant find an answer out there, but i have a 16 x 3 inch harley drum rear rim and im looking for a tire. before i pull the trigger what size tire am i looking at here? will a 150 work? if there is a range out there that would be good to know too for widening the options out there.

measure across your swingarm or frame if a hard tail where the tire will run a 150mm tire will be 5.90551 inches across do you have room? 1mm = 0.0393701 inch

yeah the frame has been hard tail and will have clearance. its close, but will do the job. its slightly wider than a stock rear, but after messing with it i think the rim should work fine. my bike is an hr and half away and i only get to work weekends if that. so im trying to get a pile of parts together. is what you are saying is that a 150 will mount to a 3 inch rim?

Hey, Jake, here's some info pulled from other posts:

1- Hagon chart
2, 3- Two pages of generic info

My Road Star has a 3.5 for the rear and has a 150 standard. The front is a 3 inch and comes with a 130, but people put 150s on that wheel with no problems.
