Here is my 1972 XS2 Shell 750 Street Tracker. 6-11-2010--5.jpg

Stock 78 XS650E Rescued from a garage where it had sat since 1985. (Still had the licence plate & tag) New tires, tore the front end apart and geased, lubed all cables, found an original seat on epay. Did go with some cruiser-style mirrors as the stock ones clamped to the bars were just plain ugly. Still tinkering with the carbs. It's running on a set from another bike. The originals have a low speed issue I'm having trouble with.

just put clear stator cover and my pma on, removed battery, wrapped the pipes...next i gotta re mount the front and rear fender, create a fake battery so i can re mount the leather battery pack. might make a real low sisy bar to mount a pack to. much past that itll be ready for winter riding

Hello all,
Just thought I'd share the latest addition to my XS stable.

Bought this yesterday from its original owner who bought in back in 1971.

Nicest gentleman you'd ever like to meet, happen to live an hour away from me here in the Northwest.

Saw his post in the classified section here on this website and couldn't contact him soon enough.

She's a beauty.

Vincenthdfan, that is perfect!

Yes, they made many mechanical improvements over the years, but nothing ever surpassed the beauty of the original in my opinion.

that is so gorgeous. I'd have it in the bedroom for sure.:D

Not an xs but a close cousin.

Motor removed and top end rebuilt.

I had two of them, beautiful sounding bike, good handling , nice stance, only problem i had was the balancer chain was loose.
I would love to add one to my collection, too many xs's and hondas, and kawi's and suki's I might whittle down the collection but still too young (at heart)

Some nice looking scoots on here . I snapped a few today in the yard. Still have a little left, but close. :bike:

Shameless plug for my fav tex-mex restaurant. Massive cold front coming, probably the last ride of the week...
