Right now I'm listening to...

Television shows just aren't what they used to be.
There was a time when you could simply watch girls dancing to pop music.
Canned Heat, here.
The girls who could "really shake it" stood out.
Notice the bars. The style was to place them in some kind of cage. Not sure what was going on there, but something was.

Oh, yes, I agree. Caging and containing. Gender domination at work. Movies about Women In Prison were popular, then, too.
And caged Go Go dancers.

I googled images for gogo dancer cages, and there are modern pictures of it but they're kinky type stuff. Back in the day it was as innocent as apple pie though, or seemed that way.

Well Dude, since you're onto Jimi and I'm onto Woodstock this seems appropriate.

Ah, Woodstock. I was 15, and heard it was happening, but I was a bit too young.
But I did make it to Summer Jam at Watkins Glen in 1973

A hell of an experience.
Ran out of water, but the LSD was flowing like a river.....

Now THAT would have been cool.
Ya, we grew up fast in those days. Old enough to want to go 12 going on 20, young enough that there was no way it was going to happen.

Another Woodstock fav.......

Other countries are different.

Oh my God! That's hilarious! Those two girls hauling ass on roller skates around a beer hall while playing accordions and singing, and a rather catchy toon to boot! I especially love the guy in the background that yells like Goofy falling off of a cliff!
