I got 650 and I sold it to my buddy. Since he knows nothing about these bikes I agreed to help him get it on the road and in return I will get to ride it every now and then. Sounds like a win win situation lol. Plus I stil have my all original 1980 XS 650 with a fresh motor only 500 miles on it...

I don't think I can sell it for $400. That's a little low for my comfort. I have an offer for $800 but he wouldn't be able to pick it up for 5-6 weeks. If someone would offer close to that now I would let it go or I guess I'll be stuck with waiting

When I lowered my bike once I put my kickstand down the bike stood a little over center and wanted to tip over on it's right side. My solution??? I took the kickstand off placed it in a 20 ton hydrolic press and put a slight bend in it. Then I bent the foot back down the same amount otherwise...

Yeah I figured I just needed to tap some holes for the pickup for the ignition the mounts on the stator. I not sure what the rotor had anything to do with my question there Sundie. I can clearly see the rotor won't work because it does not have the magnetic tabs for the tci. I was just wondering...

That mzb system is certainly some thing to look forward to for the future. As far as the RD setup I'm not sure. Everybody talks about the difference in the systems by throwing fancy numbers and specs out there. I know what I'm doing but all that technical talk just gets me lost. One guy says it...
