Switch to Antigravity battery from Cap blowing Fuse (20amp) (PMA/PAMCO)

Thanks for this, Guys! I used this wiring diagram. I haven't had a chance to check the voltage on the bike yet (it's at a garage across town). Should I also move the fuse to a different location than the above? I did not precharge, I took the Antigravity battery straight out of the box.

Switch to Antigravity battery from Cap blowing Fuse (20amp) (PMA/PAMCO)

Thanks, Pete. How do I proceed if the voltage is too high? What if it's now?

Switch to Antigravity battery from Cap blowing Fuse (20amp) (PMA/PAMCO)

Hey Guys, I switched over from my capacitor over to an Antigravity battery. The bike starts/runs a lot stronger but now it blows fuses as RPMs rise to mid-range. This bike never blew a few before, all I did was change the battery. Voltage regulator is new last season. I redid my wiring last...

Installing internal metal bushings for advance rod on 82 motor?

Hi Guys, I'm swapping out my 72 motor for an 82. In order to swap over my Pamco I'll need to install bushings on each side for the advance rod. I read here that I can use three metal bushings instead of the labyrinth seals -- and that I should be able to install them by hand. The bushings...

    Thanks, man!

    72 (BS-38) Carbs on an 82 motor?

Hi Fellas, I'm looking to swap motors from a 72 to an 82. I'd like to retain my BS-38s carbs though. Are the carb holder holes on later models the same distance apart? I.E. can I swap over my BS-38 carbs and holders onto a 82 engine? Are there any other issues with putting an 82 engine into a...

    Can't run two headlights (Pamco/PMA/Sparx)

All, I recently added a second headlight to my bike (traditional two rectangle chopper headlight look). Each headlight runs a single 12v H3 halogen bulb. Grounds are all good -- I can ride with either light but not both. When I put both headlight wires into a single terminal and connected it to...

Grinding sound on quick take-offs (first gear)

5Twins, Thank you for this. I only replaced the steel drive plates and friction plates. I remember when I changed them going through the struggle of getting the stack the right thickness. I used EBC CK2242 clutch plates and EBC CSK14 clutch springs. I think I used 7 EBC friction plates...

Grinding sound on quick take-offs (first gear)

2M, I tried a hard launch in second gear and it made the grinding sound again. I'll take a look at the clutch later this week. What did you mean by checking the washers?

Grinding sound on quick take-offs (first gear)

All, XS2 This issue started after replacing my clutch last season. It never happened before then. When I put the bike into first gear and take-off quickly (high torque) sometimes I get this weird grinding sound from somewhere in the motor. I know that the word "grinding" immediately makes...

Hi everyone, I'm looking for some extended fork tubes for my (currently stock) xs2 front end. 4 to 6 inches over would be nice. Thanks in advance!

Lost spark on one cylinder (PMA/Pamco w CAP)

Any particular specs on the wire and boot?

Lost spark on one cylinder (PMA/Pamco w CAP)

(Also running Iridium plugs) Thanks for the input so far, I really appreciate it. Assuming one of these components (boot, wire) is bad would you recommend I reorder from Mikes? I know they sell their wires and boots as "high output" and bundle them with the ignition, but I'd love to find them...

Lost spark on one cylinder (PMA/Pamco w CAP)

Hi Guys, Looking for some insight on an electrical issue. I'm running PMA/PAMCO with capacitor on a 72 XS. Bike was running fine, then lost spark on one cylinder and blew the fuse. I haven't touched the carbs (or anything else). Between blowing the fuse and starting the bike again I...
