Into to myself and my brat/scrambler build

Hello to anyone still following my build after so long of an absence! I just accepted a new job and must move in three weeks so I got in the garage and finally finished (mostly) by build! There are still things I want to change, like I didn't have time to put on the rearsets, want to change...

Thanks Two Many. While a lot of those are beyond my fab skills, I liked the triangular mesh ones. Would clean them up some though.

    Anyone tried OMAR's cafe seats?

Just shopping around to possibly purchase a café racer seat that would not require a great deal of modification to the frame (as in weld in a new rear hoop) as my build is close to being finished and have decided to change from Tracker to Café. Just wondered if anyone has used OMAR's café...

Into to myself and my brat/scrambler build

Hello everyone! I have come to my biggest headache right now, my side covers. Unfortunately I got over zealous in my initial cutting off needless tabs and removed the side cover tabs. I was never a fan of them anyway, but it would make my life so much easier now if I just went back to using...

Zero, not sure if they are considered track bars or euro bars. Regardless, I am not happy with the way they look, too modern. I am going back to a café racer build, gonna put Clubman bars on it. The shocks I have on the rear aren't tall enough to give me the stance I wanted. Besides I...

I used BBQ paint with a small brush. Seemed the easiest way to paint the barrel with the engine still in frame. Looks good and should stand up to the heat. Pretty cheap too for a small jar at Lowes

Sure, let look and see how much I payed for it at Dime City and I'll send you a message.

    1977 XS650 Build

Cleaned up nice! Just a suggestion, get the motor fired up first. If you need to rebuild it will be a lot easier to clean up the motor while its apart. Looking good, looking forward to see this build come together.

Thanks Zero. I was fortunate to have wheels in really good shape to start with. The front is the stock, rear is from xs500. Just a little hand polishing to clean em up.

    Stock fuse box wiring dillema

Yes, sending power to key switch. All other fuses have power only when key is on the way I have it wired. The only part of wires that were swapped was the connection of the fuse panel to the main harness, the red/yellow wires and red wires were switched. All lights, horn, starter, etc are all...

    Stock fuse box wiring dillema

Leo, correct. My red/yellow wires from the fuse box were connected to the red main lines in the harness. With all fuses out only the headlight fuse got power. So I will use the headlight fuse position as my main. I am probably not explaining myself very well.

    Stock fuse box wiring dillema

Thanks for the suggestion, after further investigation I learned it is the side where the wires come in which is the side from the battery. I also found that the wires in the harness were swapped for the main fuse and the headlight! Instead of cutting further in the loom to correct it I swapped...

    Stock fuse box wiring dillema

Need y'alls help with trying to figure this out. Installed new wiring harness from Mike's and upon turning the key got no power. No power going to the main fuse. Jumped the main fuse from the battery and everything works fine. Took apart the wiring harness to the fuse box and found the two...

    Run without clutch switch?

Reassembling my build right now and realize that I am using a YZ clutch that has no clutch switch on my 82 special. Two questions: Can I run simply without a switch connected or will the lack of the nanny switch prevent starting? Do I need to connect the two wires to the switch so that I...
