I'm also not a fan of highway pegs, either! Because of that I have a set of them I took off that the PO put on my standard '79. They are made of twisted stock and are in very nice shape....be glad to sell them to you for $25 plus shipping. JS

What James wrote is correct....however I don't think there would be that much difference in power or where it is on the power band from the range of velocity stack sizes that you could fit with any amount of practicality on an XS.....again as James mentioned, jetting is critical when using stacks.

I like it! Nice clean, simple lines....everything flows together well. That nacelle style headlight with the speedo inserted is a very nice part that really makes the bike look vintage. Good work!

Stupid electrical question time: I have a '79 XS standard that has a damaged brake/throttle side switchable control. It needs replacing which, in itself, is no problem. Mike's XS stocks a controller that fits '76-'78 XS and has a headlight on/off switch. I was going to install an on/off...
