Where did you Buy your Banshee PMA parts?

I might have a hugh's adapter plate. I ordered one when I was going to piece together the kit, then the project got shelved. When I dug it back out Hugh offered complete kits. I'll have to check to see if I ordered the full kit, or everything minus that plate.

    tire alignment

Accelerating and decelerating are both making use of the friction between the tire and the road to change the speed of the bike. I would certainly think these would have an effect on tire wear and life. Not saying that is your problem, but tires will still wear from normal driving. If it was...

Broken Sprocket Attachment Bolt - REMOVAL?

Start soaking it with penetrating oil now, and give it some time before attempting. Center punch and drill a small hole through the center using a left hand drill bit. Step it up in drill sizes couple of times until you are close to hitting the threads. (the closer to the center you are the...

SPARKS STRIPPED THREAD! What size Thread Chaser?

Are these the same plugs that stripped the threads originally? I'd get a new set. I've had to throw plenty of bolts away that had aluminum stuck in the threads, or damaged crossed threads from stripping out a hole.

question about pistons at TDC with regard to valve adj.

The pistons are both traveling.side by side hand in hand. It's the cam that is off so when one piston is on compression stroke, one is on exhaust. Both pistons will be physically at top dead center, but they will be at different stages of the cam. This was explained a couple posts up better...

Unless rephased they are the same.

question about pistons at TDC with regard to valve adj.

You would probably set the cyl on the exhaust stroke to an unknown looser tolerance than the cylinder that is on the compression stroke. As grizld1 stated, you are setting it to a point you know the rocker will be riding on the base circle of the cam. That is where you need to set your...

    Handmade Leather Seats

I like the shape of that seat. You should see if your customer will get you some installed pictures to go with it. And your shop blows me away, I would kill to have a work area like that to myself. Overall you seem to put great time and quality in what you do.

This should help people wanting to run forwards and rear disc

Is it safe to use a rod like that in compression? I would think you would want your braking action to pull a little rod like that. I'd be afraid of it bending of I jammed on the brakes. I'm fairly inexperienced with motorcycles though, so maybe that's common practice?
