Digger XS Mock Up

I need a whole new set of skills that include fabrication. That looks really awesome Punkskalar!

Normally I hate it when people quote pictures, but I had to quote this one for awesomeness :)
I haven't even clicked on this thread before because when I think "Digger" this isn't what comes to mind. You have well and truly updated the look though man, that thing looks like it's going to be a blast to ride!

Although pictures are nice, they don't do justice in capturing the true workmanship and sweat that Hugh has poured into to those beautiful Girders. They're truly a work of art and jaw dropping in person:thumbsup:

Man, if only someone offered a frame, girder set up like that. Thats a refreshing look from the normal hardtail. Maybe reconsider developing some rolling chassis? Bet they would sell really well.
jefft

Wouldn't surprise me if someone copied it, it seems to happen alot to my works

As of now, this is not a reasonable thing to undertake. A stock fork would never work with this frame, raising costs, and the girder alone has over 150 hours in it... Anyone wanna pay $45 an hour for one :yikes:

Bobber 33 just had a girder front end made, details in his latest thread. Maybe you can get a reasonable priced girder from them to go with your frame to make it viable to sell as a kit???

How the hell did I miss this thread. Great work as always High. I'm not really a hard tail kinda guy but this critter is bee-u-tee-ful!

Any chance you could give a brief overview of how to make a girder? Or a least a link to making one?
Love the bike BTW

Brief? I wish

There are soo many variables - rake, trail, wheel dimensions, fitting brakes, shock valving, spring weight, overall height and such that it would be tough to do...

There is no such thing as a "universal" girder or springer honestly, they need to be tailored to fit the chassis for proper trail and handling characteristics...
