    Starter gears jammed?

    When I press the starter button, the motor just 'clunks' without turning anything.     Why are there nails in the exhausts?

    I've just removed the exhaust, and in each silencer/downpipe is a 4" nail! :eek: Is there a reason for doing this? That aren't bent or anything, just look like 2 brand new nails that have been dropped in there, does anyone have an explanation as to why? Rust prevention? Keep evil spirits at bay? :D
