Removing frame tabs, what are your thoughts on the center stand?

Thanks for the input. I have another bike that I ride daily, so this bike doesn't necessarily need to be practical. I'm planning to have the frame powder coated, so I need to get this all figured out beforehand. Right now it's in tupperware containers, but the end goal is something of a brat...

Removing frame tabs, what are your thoughts on the center stand?

Hey Guys, I have now removed just about every tab from the frame, but I'm a bit conflicted on removing the center stand mounts. I'm removing pretty much everything else, but I wanted to get some opinions on removing the center stand mounts. Also, what have you guys done who have removed...

5twins... Have I told you lately... That I love you. I was fiddling with my VM34's forever and getting nowhere. This appears to be worth looking into.

Stripping to frame. How to remove swingarm bushings and steering bearings

I had to deal with the swingarm bushings a couple of days ago... For some reason, heating them with a torch didn't seem to do much for mine. Soaking them in PB blaster for a day helped a lot... And then the big hammer. Also, if you are going to be putting in the new brass swingarm bushings, I...

Rear Wheel... Am I missing something?

Well, I've searched every pile of parts I have' and it's no where to be found. Fingers crossed that the guys who put tires on it this weekend have it.

Rear Wheel... Am I missing something?

Yeah... I was looking at the schematics... but sometimes those microfiche things are a bit tough for me to mentally convert... Thanks for the info... I knew that didn't look right.

    VM34 VS BS34 throttle pull

Hey Everyone, I was just wondering if anyone had some insight on whether this is normal or not. I just picked up some new VM34's from 650central (love that place by the way), and the split 2-1 cable from him. My question is regardingk the throttle pull being a bit stiffer than it was with...

Trouble shooting? first check OPERATOR ERROR!

It's nice to see that some of the Guru's on here make the same dumb mistakes as me. I was chasing some issues on my bike for a while, and during the testing process (Turns out my vacuum petcocks were leaking a bit) I ran out of gas, and didn't realize it. only took about 30 minutes of...

Noob vs. Mikuni VM carbs: Questions

I'd listen to every word these guys say. Set your cam chain tension, then check the valve clearances (both way easier than anything you're gonna run into with carb tuning), and then start dealing with the carbs. As a side note, you may have an issue with your carb jetting with those pods on...
