Back on it today for a bit , finally got the rusted in place axle out of the caliper bracket so I could mock up the rear wheel *I will NOT be using the stock mag on my build . mocked up fender *fender will be bobbed and matched to the curve of the tire before paint

It was a special order , you have to call and request it .

look on you tube search xs650 bobbers look for a post from nicerides he has a 200mm tire with clearance on a hardtail super clean bike video is about a month old so easy to find , im going to use a 5.5x16 with a 200mm tire to offset my skinny 21 front with -4 springer

mine came with the springer from TC BROS choppers , but im going to get all numbers off the bearings and races so if I need ever replacements I can go to my local KAMAN bearing

removed all the final unwanted brackets off my frame , set up the location for my seat brackets and today received my -4 springer, getting closer every week.:bike:

been super busy with work overtime and other stuff feel like a wayyyy behind on my build did order my -4" springer and a few other lil parts. ordering some stuff this weekend and finishing everything I can on the frame

I went ahead and purchased the TC bros kit (duel bag) very quality kit , haven't installed it yet since bike is in build status but ill post up pics when its installed

I also researched "lab metal" that looks like a good option too , just have to see where its sold at . the factory frame has many many inperfections in it krappy looking welds , dimples everywhere , but im use to seeing aluminum spar frames and late model dirt bike frames that are crazy clean in...

does the long set stuff shape well ? and sand down easily ? ill have to check auto zone for the long set stuff

ok unless someone has had a bad experience using JB weld to smooth frame inperfections I plan to use it as it will take the that a powdercoat over puts out. any thoughts?
