Hey everyone, I just want some input on Mikes XS for petcock rebuild kits. I recently bought the carb rebuild kits and later found out that I needed to buy more parts to complete the rebuild process. Should I buy from Mikes or is there a better place to get the parts? Thanks, Dennis

I bought two rebuild kits from Mikes XS for my 1975 xs 650 but the needle jet looks to be wrong. Also I have extra parts. I believe the brass part on the bottom goes in the bowl but I can't get the old one out and I don't have an "ez out". The jet on the right is the new one. Any help would be...

Sorry, I haven't had much time to work on it this weekend but this is the latest pic (I'm sure you already saw it). I've done some cleaning and I've removed the fairing and sissybar. My dad found the headlight ring but I haven't put it back together yet.

The minimal effort was to see whether I could get it running. Whether was going to keep it or sell it as is. I did clean the tank and add fuel filters before starting it. Now I will put much more effort into it for spring. I have an album up if you follow my user name. Thanks for the help!

The left side of the clip looks like it should hook into a slot and the right side looks like it should connect to a hook. I hope this helps.

HMMM.... I guess my question is do they hold themselves in position by pushing against the filters or do they have a special way of locking themselves in position?
