    question for Canadians

I'll be riding the beemer east from Sault St. Marie later this month to meet my Dad for a week of sailing in the North Channel. I'm wondering how much wiggle room there is speed wise. I'm guessing not much for folks from the states. Any other words to the wise is welcome. Thanks!

    first time

My daughter visited this week and talked me into letting her try riding a bike. This morning we went out to the university, (big parking lots) went over the basics and away she went. She says she is going to take the MSF coarse later this summer in Minneapolis. Frankly, I'm not keen on her...

    Milling off the Yamaha

I have read about the removal of the 'Yamaha" from the right engine case by grinding and sanding. Has anyone milled it off? I'm thinking of taking one over to a friends shop and giving it a try. My concern is the contour of the case making the high area to thin.

    learn from my mistake

Before installing new swing arm bushings, clean the paint or in my case, powder coating, off the end of the swinger. I had to file a fair amount of material off the outer face of the bushing to get clearance. I hope it doesn't break.

    one step closer

I took my frame, swing arm and other bits to the powder coat guy today. It will be red with a clear coat. I still have to finish the seat pan, (tracker style in aluminum) decide cast vs wire wheels, fab some alu side covers and other things I'm not remembering. Paint or have the gas can...

    SS brake line

I am going to run a single disc and need a one piece ss brake line to fit superbike bars on stock risers. I'm thinking 34/36". Does anyone have a specific length that fits and where would you go for it? Thanks!

    Another cool event

This is a good event to attend in Wisconsin. Lots of tire kicking going on here. It is what I would call a grass roots event. Every genre of bikes will be in attendance and on a nice day 3000+ will show up. http://www.slimeycrudrun.com/ video:

    switch gear

Has anyone any experience with the handlebar switch gear from Mike's XS? I thought I had some but can't find them in my less than well sorted shop. I have some on a barn bike that I have in storage. (in a barn) but I may sell that bike and don't want to strip a bunch of parts from it...

Hello all, I'm new to this site and am a confessed lurker, occasional contributor. I built a sweet running tracker last year, am working on another (slowly) that has a kitted motor, now on to the frame as well as another winter project that may take priority. (TL1000R street fighter) My...
