Just received my XS1 carbs from Rick at Oldscoolcarbs and WOW! The bike had been sitting for 25+ yrs and the carbs I thought were done. Totally locked up.Highly recommended . Now I just need to get the bike finished.Next,rebuild the forks.:)
I cant figure out how these things mount to frame.:umm:My bike didnt have them when I got it so I have no idea.Can someone w/ a 70/71 post some pics on how they mount?Thanks
Thanks for the replies but I would disagree that in order to strip paint off the fins of an engine you must disassemble.I will post when I'm finished stripping the paint and tell all how its done. Thanks again
I have a xs1 that Im restoring and need to strip/clean assembled engine. Someone painted the jug black and am looking for ideas on how to strip it w/o tearing it down.Engine is out.Thanks
The wiring harness on my xs1 is in great shape except for the grey plastic wrap that has all but cracked off. Looking to redo in the same or similar grey.Looking for ideas. What did you do? Thanks
