Hello,

Can anyone recommend a vendor I can send my forks to for overhaul? I can never seem to get them and the front brake right.

Thanks!

Looks to be a 16 inch rim, used to do a lot of those lace ups in the 70's

Too bad you're not down here, I could show you how to doit yerself.
Rackin' my brain here, don't recall anyone in your neighborhood experienced in XS1s...

Beautiful! What size is the rear tire?

Thanks! Yep, circa late 70s 16 as cra-z1 mentioned. This is a bit of a Frankenstein bike but it has sentimental value.

I’d love to buy a nice and complete xs1 or xs1b

It is! I’m not too handy so I’ve hit a wall trying to get the front of the bike right. It’s sketchy at highway speeds.

You'll want the rear swingarm bushings in good order, no measurable play.
And, you can run the steering damper down to just a slight drag, to reduce potential hi-speed front-end wobbly...
