Saw this at a local show in June? I think. Then I saw the guy had it for sale on the local craigslist. More than I would spend but hey to each his own. Lots of good work into I think. The guy lives in Topeka which is about an hour west of me out in Kansass...
Hi - no bike yet, but looking to jump back into motorcycling with a project - have loved yamaha's all my life (enduro's and xs's primarily). I'd love to a street tracker / scrambler but do not have the hugest budget. I love this bike. I am a complete noob and only moderately mechanically...
I purchased my 78 xs650 Special from an auction place near by for $500 and it was in fairly good shape. Carbs were gummed up the cam chain tensioner was worn, the starter was grinding and the petcocks leaked like a sieve.
I've never owned, or ridden a motorcycle before.
After a yearish of...
I bought this `72 XS2 about 20 years ago. I found it in a barn, the way you see it.

Now if I can just figure out how to upload the pics!. . . .

As far as frame mods and stuff I have pretty much just cut off everything except for the frame rails and...
I know its not a XS, but it IS a Yamaha and a dirt track style of bike, I'm not to sure how much fun it would be with an unreal power to weight ratio. 160HP and 380lbs sounds like it spells HOSPITAL. Anyways, here is the link. They say the new R1 has a different crank rotation and it sounds...
My name is Richard aka Mule. I have a website www.mulemotorcycles.net
I've built bikes for a long time and have kinda found a niche building streettrackers. Everything I do is frame up with the intent to improve whats there and how it works and looks. I don't really do the cheapy Walmart...
