81 stock coil, wires cylinder specific?

which way does the stock 81 coil mount on frame?

I have already cut the brackets off of my frame and have slept since and dont know if the stock coil is mounted aiming wires to the back of the bike or plug wires aiming to the front?

shouldn't matter, just depends which side your ignition system is firing. but i have 2 coils with points... i can switch the coils as long as i change the wires from the points

If you've got a dual tower coil, no, it doesn't care. Dual towers fire in wasted spark mode.

but all of this doesnt tell me how the stock 81 coil mounts on the frame, is it coil wires aiming forward or coil wires aiming back?

Thanks guys, I held it up there both ways, aiming back seemed to flow better but wasnt sure if it mattered like it does on my harley.
