A question about 71 parts swap to a 81....

I have my 1971 xs1b and its just collecting dust and was thinking about trying to swap the front and rear wheels and going that rout for the rest of my 81 build. I might just sell the 71 as is and not part it out. From what I understand they are getting hard to find these days. Any thoughts or suggestions?

You want to part out a 71 to use some of the parts on an 81? Is the 71 complete? Sell it as it sits then use the money to fund your 81 build.
Lots of people would like a stock early bike.

i would buy it if i had the monies.
imo, ide go the other way. keep the 71, find other parts for your 81. the 71 is so sweet looking. A little more oomph, too.
