As much as I like the look of a stock XS, the weight, handling and brakes are a bit disappointing.
I know that Rickman frames for the XS has been made, as well as various flat track frames, and that Richard Pollock has built some XS street trackers with custom frames.
Also, the way the stock frame tube comes down behind the carbs limits the intake manifold length when using any type of linked carbs (Stock 34 or 38, EX500 carbs, Mikuni RS, Keihin FCR, etc)
So I wonder if anyone has experience with alternative, lighter/ better, but still traditional looking frames, while retaining stock appearance?
(Frame layout like Yamaha aircooled RD, Rickman, etc.)
