I built a pair similar to that for my 450 Honda. Covered them with header wrap and never felt the heat. It was a bit tight checking the oil, just had to use a glove when hot.
The builder of that bike Udo Sacher from Germany has a website. Google is your friend. I'll bet Gordon Scott (member here) could build just about anything you wanted.

Yes that is me If you build the exhaust yourself make sure to have both pipes the same length going into the collector. You will notice the right pipe is a lot shorter then the left on his exhaust. The collector is the hard part to weld up without leaks, the rest is easy
