Battery Cable Guage

Looking to start wiring up my cafe project. I need to fabricate a 4' cable to the starter. I purchased some 8 gauge from McMasters but it just looks to thin. Does anyone have an idea as to what gauge I should use. Thanks

6 gauge would be more appropriate.
