Battery Chargers

Wow! Thanks to all that posted! Turns out my Brother has a Battery Tender sitting around that I can use for the time being. Gotta save money where I can!

This topic, along with gas octane and what oil, always is ahh umm, debateable.
Free use of a battery tender is good.

Ha! I still haven't decided on an oil yet either... What the hell, next person to recommend an oil is what I'm going with.

60 dollar one from the local supply store. Has starting mode and a high/low setting. Trickles as well. Works great.

Leo, that's pretty much anything I own with the motor running when it's 95 degrees plus outside. I might get a 14.1 or 14.2 every once in a while in the winter, but that's about it.

I was getting 14.5V on my bike in Texas every day :) Your car should be doing 14.6V or something's wrong. You said you'd never seen more than 13.8 on anything. Often the problem with car alternators is encrusted stuck brushes - alternator seems to work (produce 14.6V) intermittently.

Bought a Battery Tender Jr. for $23 at Sears the other day, it wad on sale. Can't complain with that price.
