Evening gentlemen. I’m looking to repair broken threads on the upper left rider foot peg mount and looking for advice.
I was initially thinking of drilling, tapping, and threading a replacement M10x1.25 stud and securing it with red loctite. Upon reviewing the thickness of the remaining mount, I’m thinking the M10 stud will be too wide for the above process. Now I’m wondering if an M8 stud would be the better option.
At this time I do not have access to a welder but if the general consensus is welding, I’ll figure out a way to have someone weld it.
Thx as always,
Steve
