I broke one of the spark plug wires on my 79 xs650 special (all stock). I saw another thread saying you could get wire and reterminate but I don’t see any way to do that for the end that goes on the spark plug. Am I missing something?

Should I just buy some already made up and cut the end that goes on the cap side?

I would like to ride this darn thing this summer!

Thanks

I didn’t do anything out of the norm. Just removed wire to check the spark plug. End fell off the wire. I put it back on but no continuity from end to end. Took connector back off and checked continuity through wire, it was good. Check continuity through the end connector and no good. I ordered a couple of LBOF ends. Hope that works.

Best to just make up new leads with new caps and be done.
Look in the tech section for full details.
If you can check continuity it should be a breeze
