building my own bars, need input on material

I want to build my own bars. The O.D is going to be 7/8" but not sure what the wall thickness should be or the tubing that I should use DOM, ERW, CREW?

Then You definately want DOM for handlebars, ... which is 7/8'' O.D thickness between .083'' to .120''

I usually use .095 DOM but have used .049 Chromoly. The heavier wall seems to filter out some vibrations, .065 DOM is probably fine but .095 helps me deal with my over active paranoia

I agree .065 will work I see them in that thickness. But I.m with You I think the thicker holds down vibration. the .120 is quite beefy

Just use EMT, my whole frame and bars are made of it

Yea i heard EMT is the way to go since its already plated it won't rust. Its also super strong. Lol jk.
