Cam Chain fitting

Hi all

Fitting a new Cam Chain to my 256 XS2 engine.

I have ordered the right chain but when I fit it its very tight like a guitar string is this normal prior to torquing the head down?

Yes, that's normal. Besides being new, apparently the chains are pressure injected with lube. It will loosen once run so do a tension check after a short time of operation.
