Camshaft timing, PMA, no marks + Engine out tricks?

Hello

According to my Haynes manual, the original stator has some marks on it, to verify the correct crank position when reinstalling the camshaft.

I run a permanent magnet setup from an RZ350, and I don't have any of those marks anymore. So where do I put the crank? TDC? MM before top? Degrees?

TDC makes sense to me, but I'd just like to be sure that I didn't miss anything obvious.

Also, taking out the engine tomorrow, any tricks?

I'm gonna make a post on a little trick I do when installing a PMA - maybe tonight?

But yes, TDC on the #1 cylinder (charging system side) and then make new marks on your flywheel and side cover to match.
