Can vacuum petcocks be converted?

This is my first post so I hope this is correct.

Can vacuum petcock be converted to non vacuum? I have a 79 XS650f and am rebuilding the petcocks. Is there a way to eliminate the vacuum and have them work without vacuum? What is required if possible?

Yes, but you need a left and right "pair" so parts can be swapped between the two. Details are here .....

Quite alot of work.....................so being lazy, I just use the manual petcocks.

I don't know what bike you have, but this is the one that fits my SK. The link will show you some of the other bikes it fits.

Attached are a few pics of my bike. The id is 2F0-21810.
Also I did read the vac petcock rebuild post and it mentions CHACAL as the supplier of the rebuild kits.
Where can I get info on these kits and is this a web site or a person?
