OK you have a bad rotor for sure. It being .3 ohms could have caused some connections to get hot resulting in the other abnormalities.

First things first... need to repalce the rotor then go from there.

Pull the left engine side cover, remove the stator (2 scews) and set it to the side.
For giggles again measure right across the rotor's slip rings on low ohms and see if it is still < 4 ohms.

If it is round you up a good rotor.

Custom Rewinds does a good job. Call 800-798-7282 and talk to Gary.
His rebuilds are better than most current after market new ones and cost less.

i really appreciate all your guys help since your thinking the rotor is bad rather then try and get a new one or get a rewind im just gonna pull the trigger and get a pma i think its for the best i need my bike to be more relible i realize that some of you guys think that the stock charging system is great and am glad it works for you but rather than getting a new rotor and waiting for another part to fail. guess you can say im gonna take the easy way out thanx again guys.

Last I checked Custom rewinds charged $125 to rewind. It should last longer than the stock, and it lasted 30 years. I call that pretty reliable.
