Is there any reason not to use part of some regular type bars with bends in clip on clamps? I'm wondering because I haven't seen any set up like that.

Mine have a slight bend in them. Need to cut a couple inches off these still.

The ones i'm using are thick wall aluminum. I would advise against just cutting up a set o steel bars if thats what you are thinking about

What if I used the clamps to mount the bars without cutting them or welding them back together if I need to cut them once to get the clamps on?
