cost of a seat recover

What do you guys pay to get your seats recovered on a 2x seat? My pan is fiberglass and the foam is good. I have been calling a few shops and only found one that does bike seats.

Never had work done there, but they told me they do motorcycle seats. They've been around since the beginning of time. Always some sick hot rods in there.

depending on materials and foam/gel inserts... usually around $200 range give or take

I'm not looking for anything special. Just a plain jane seat cover.

I got mine done for about 50, I bought my own vinyl beforehand. find a regular car upholstery guy for the best prices, the ones who specalize in seats for 35 thousand dollar "choppers" will be a lot more expensive.

Cost will vary wildly...that's why a lot of people opt to just replace the whole seat. Anyhow, shop around and be patient, there ARE good deals to be had as far as upholstery is concerned.

An upholstry shop that does all kinds of work is cheaper than a speciality shop.
I had one done from what the shop considered scrap (to small for anything else) $50.
I talked with a custom shop prices start at $350.

Many moons ago I found a replacement seat cover for an XS650 at JC Whitney, I don't know if they still supply them.
