Pretty cool. I've only been to one mile race. The Dallas Mile, many years ago ran at Lone Star Park. The riders complained about the holes in the track. Terry Poovey called it dangerous after he won his heat race. A young man from California named Toby Jorgensen went under the rail on turn 2 and stopped the race. He died 3 weeks later from his injuries. The race was never finished, and has never ran again. That was 1999. I did manage to get my ticket stub signed by a couple of kids from Owensboro Kentucky that night. Nicky and Roger Lee Hayden. Probably never be worth much to anyone else but it's man cave hangings for me.
