Ok, I can see that. Maybe I'll add a ground wire from the top tree back to the frame under the tank, thus bypassing the bearings.
A weak ground can cause your transmission bulb to flicker, thus bending the flutney rod. And you don't want a bent flutney rod.
 
The horn button and starter button each have only one wire and short it to ground when pushed so using it to switch 12 volts would be a project.
 
I see that now after cracking it open. I would just simply wire the B/W to the Pink and leave R/W wired where it is in the last diagram posted. Thanks guys.... I was making that WAYYY more complicated than I should have.
