Anotehr quick one, dudes.

This oil seal kit, it's Clutch Rod Seal DOESNT have that small lip around the outisde of it, its smooth. Even packed with some grease, will this seal hold at all?

Does this oil seal look alright? has anyone else used this seal?

Yep, should be good. Factory seals have the lip and are assembled with the cases split. Aftermarket seals are designed so they can be fitted without splitting.

Yep, good call NJ. also NO lube on the outer surface. Some put a thin smear of yamabond there, but I'd only do that as a last resort myself. It should go in well enough dry after you chamfer the hole. I think there are instructions on Mikes site.

did you buy a new bushing as well? after replacing both the push rold seal and bushing i could tell the bushing was the definite cause of the leak. once wore out it allows too play in the push rod which then causes the seal lip to distort
