exhaust issue

Hello,

I was trying to fit Mikesxs shorty muffler on stock exhaust going around the inner pipe then inside the muffler. Couldn't find an adapter that would fit at napa. Went to a muffler shop who said that they could weld them together. Would prefer to be able to remove the muffler if needed. Any ideas on this.

I had those same mufflers...this setup sucked...and sounded MEH but here's what I did. I took an angle grinder, split the end into 4's (basically flanged the thing) opened er up a bit, slid it on the header, then clamped it down with an exhaust clamp. It worked, but the mufflers if not secured to the frame WILL eventually fly off...likely at the worst possible time. I ended up welding them on and the sound, performance and everything about them improved...except for the fact my father landed on it while trying to kick the bike over, and cracked the header....which hid under my pipe wrap until the whole pipe flew off the bike coming through a corner last week.
