filthy cv38 carbys/oval filters

hi guys,,, well yesterday ipulled the filthy cv38 and oval filers,,,, mikes oval filters about 7 years old,,, off my 1976 xs650,,i used to had a nack of pulling them off from the left side in about 10mins...but i forgot how i used toooo do it,, so i put some new 98% unleaded in a 5litre container and soaked and cleaned them they were filthy inside the carbys after that i added the last of my yamaha carby cleaner and washed them again,,then cleaned them they came up nice and clean ,,,then re-assembled them and put them back on the bike ,,,i also clraned the filters as well,,, which made a difference,, although i had put a set of ovals on my MUST HAVE wish list,,so i,m still getting there regards oldbiker
