Hate to be fussy but I counted three kicks, it did fire on the second but took the third to actually keep running!
Still I would be happy if any of my bikes with kick starters fired up that good all the time!
I should send you a copy of my profile picture and you could tell people that is the before picture!
Here's what this one looked like the day I got it! Note the green tint to the engine cases!
Hard to believe there are actually a couple parts off this sad bike on that nice looking one of yours!

Excellent Jesse - congratulations as yet another beautiful old XS650 joins the pack!
These old gals are becoming like Spitfires and P51 Mustangs - the population of operational bikes is now actually growing rather than shrinking even though we are approaching 35 years after final production ended in 1984 and nearly 50 years after it began in 1971.
Very cool to be a part of preserving history!
