Frame/seat question

Should a seat made for Standards 1974-79 work on a 78 Special? Were the frames the same for both?

That type of seat I suspect is mounting on the frame rail. I would tend to think that it would work on the '78 and '79 Specials without too many problems if any.
The Standards and the early Specials had side hinges for their seats. '80 and up were lift off.
