Good luck. There are worse carbs to get back on a motor but I can’t think of any right now.
Make sure you grease the rubbers for smooth insertion!

“The carbs are so dumb! Not a single piece of bracketry holding them together, they just fall apart when you remove them, except for the choke levers dangling between them.“
I think this is what I ran into. You naturally think this big pan has to come off but it’s what holds all those tiny little sync springs and linkages in place!!!
CBX carbs are not too fun when you have to drop the front mounts and lower the engine to get them out. Another good idea from HondaGood luck. There are worse carbs to get back on a motor but I can’t think of any right now.

It wouldn't be exaggerating to say I could fill a 3 1/2 gallon bucket with all the corn, hay, dead critters, and pet food I've pulled out of barn find intakes and blown out of mufflers over the years.Just curious, what do you plan to do with the corn?
That seems to be a common thread with barn finds. Did the nice chew up any of the wiring? It wouldn't be exaggerating to say I could fill a 3 1/2 gallon bucket with all the corn, hay, dead critters, and pet food I've pulled out of barn find intakes and blown out of mufflers over the years.

Looks like each little critter had their own private quarters. An '83 GL1100 I resurrected after sitting 20 years in a barn.
