Well hello there.. Heres the rockers off my 1979 se xs. Ok it dont look to nice to me, does
anyone know what i can do about it??

the arm is black one side smooth and nice tother- on the underside it has carbon build-up
, there is also an evil looking lip on one side. Can you see it??

its also been like it for a while due to the amount of metal its eaten away at on one side.

closer with the phone is not the answer. back up a little.
but from wht I see, is it looking like it was over heated? turning purple? hard to tell.

thanks for the tip, but im affraid the best i can do is draw a little picture for you guys.

the arm on the right is normal and looks like the other 3..
the one in question is why im thinking im burning oil in that cylinder. the valveguilds look good.. the seal on that side was gone, the spring was warped and the rubber was abit dodgey,

oh and the cam shaft looks fine

could have been a blocked oil delivery hole in your rocker arm. blow some fluid/air through to make sure it's clean. The cam would look fine because it's bathed.

Well then sir...that doesmake sense.... But what do you recomend me do about the arm after i blow it? Get somebody to grind it to look like the other three?? Or leave it?
