Ok so i got a new regulator as that is what all test were indicating , and i had a feeling that the charging system was on the week side, so i also installed a LED volmeter. i was right the regulator was pooched, but also the charging system was very week, only a little over 12v. new brush's installed and did all ohms tests and every tis is just there, so...

i decided to replace the charging system , was just goin gto go with new original equipment but i would be waiting 6 months to a year so i decided to spend the $$$$ and go with a PMA, figured that it would be easier to just get new one from Hugh , but i also have to upgrade ignition cause my bike is a '83... so only system xs650direct has is the most $$$ one of course...

so what should i install first? the pamco or the PMA? or just do both at the same time.
was thinking that if i did the pamco first them timing should be set already?
