Isn't this a Standard frame?

Hi all.. I saw this add to day and it says Special but isnt the frame a Standard? And to exhaust and the tank?

Mufflers are aftermarket, head pipes are standard or from Mikes XS rear wheel kinda looks like a 18" shocks and tank do look like "standard" parts. Yes it looks like the "Special" is mostly the emblem on the side covers. Kinda easy to mix and match parts.

The frame is a standard. You can tell by the loops where the passenger pegs are mounted. The side covers are standard as well.

Yes, it looks to be a Standard turned into a Special but I'm not sure why anyone in their right mind would do such a thing ???? I guess there's no accounting for people's tastes, in other words - some have none, lol.

Thanks alot! Its just a weird way of 'down'-grade

Is it a problem with the polished engine? Have the owner removed some coating so it will turn ugly? Or will it just come back to 'normal' engine look?
