When I let the clutch out in first gear it will engage then it slip then grabs again, scary. The bike will surge. I have to really feather the clutch. There are no other slipping or grabbing problems in the other gears just 1st. Any ideas? Thanks

Sounds like the 1st gear shift fork may be bent/damaged, and 1st gear dogs may have rounded corners...
