I'm looking to get advice on or possibly to just sale a 1972 Yamaha XS650.

I bought it a couple months back, it was just too nice of a deal to pass up. In too good of shape to let rot away.

It didn't have a title, and I've never even tried to find out about it or get it titled.

I'm debating on whether I ought to part it all out individually or sale as a whole, since it doesn't have a title.

It really way to nice to part out, but if I have to I will. I'm buying a C3 Corvette and I'm more of a car guy anyway. I bought so I could see it restored, so I'd hate to see it parted out, but I will.

Have you ever had this bike running or head it run?

Yeah, it cranked over and wanted to run after I replaced the petcock and battery, but the spark plugs were bad and from where it sat for years the carburetors needed cleaned.

I started to take it apart to clean them, upgrade the electronics to Pamco and possibly replace the carburetors to 34mm mikuni. That's where I left it. The last two owners of the bike live right next door to me, I also know that it has 19,600 miles on the odometer.

if it comes to parting it out, I'm interested in the tank for sure, maybe also the seat.

Well, I took it to the DMV, it didn't come up missing or stolen. If I have my neighbor and I make a Bill of Sale, and have Vermont give me a title, as that state only needs the bill of sale on vehicles older then 1981, and then a MV inspector or LEO, examine the vehicle in person when presented for the first time for registration in Kentucky with an out-of-state title/registration, I can have my title.

But if I can make good money parting it out, then I will. I'm also gonna have the State Police department run it as well if I decide to go the title route. It'll still take a couple of months to go through the process. Just shoot me a price, money now talks.

As I've got another project ahead in a 1st Gen Toyota Celica GT Liftback I'm wanting to do, as I decided against the Corvette. I just really love those old Toyota 2JZ-GTE motors.
